As you may have seen on my Twitter and Facebook, I now have a new sponsor; ProSim737! I really appreciate them for helping me out with my project! It is a big honour to work with the software they provide and just helps me so much and makes it a lot easier to build my flight deck! I know I said it a lot but thank you so much ProSim!
So for the past several weeks I have been waiting for my power supply to arrive. It arrived a week ago and I could not wait to unpack the box and get it working. I still need to connect the supply to my IO boards to see if it is working. But I am a bit worried if I have done it right because when the power supply came I did not have the right connector, it had a jack connector. So I needed to remove the connector and needed to solder it into the right connector as you can see below. The thing I am worried about is if the positive and negative wires, I am not sure if they are in the right position, they may have been swapped. So a question for you guys, does anyone now if the wires are in the right place or not?
The other things I have been working on is to get the monitor behind the MIP working in ProSim via network. It was not a big deal but needed to be done. The other things I have been working on is the soldering of the last LED lights and the rotary switches. I still need to solder one switch and connect them all (LED lights and the switch) to my electronic cards.
Furthermore I am still working on my gate monitor in ProSim Utils because I can’t get it opened in my web browser. So I need to sort that out soon and hope to get it working in the next few days.
The settling in goes well here in the UK. I found my place here, I am trying to do the best I can at school and work on my language. But it seem to be going all right at the moment. I am also looking for a job here where I can make some money to spend on my simulator. But making money must not become the priority to finish my simulator. I also need to focus on my school work and spend some time with my family instead of working to be able to buy new products for my simulator.
I will leave you with some wise words:
When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it ~ Henry Ford
I hope to speak to you soon!
